Adama debuts XSeed seed treatment range in Brazil
ChemChina subsidiary Adama Agricultural Solutions has launched XSeed, offering a mix of fungicides, insecticides and fertilisers as seed treatments on soybeans, maize, cotton, rice, wheat, feijao beans and pasture in Brazil. XSeed allows growers the flexibility to choose products as seed treatments with options such as the fungicides, Captan SC (captan) and Bendazol (carbendazim); the insecticides, Shelter (fipronil) and Sombrero (imidacloprid); and several fertilisers. Exclusive combinations are available, the company reportedly says. Seed treatment manager John Giraldi reportedly explains the offer as a “unique concept”. Farmers can protect crops “from early disease and pest pressure at the time of the plants’ emergence with the products that best suit their needs, without having the commitment to paying for what you do not use”, he says.
