Syngenta reopens expanded US R&D facility
Syngenta has officially reopened its expanded US research and development, and seed production facility in Woodland, California. The company began the $11.2 million expansion of the site in 2012. Research is focused on small-grain cereals, maize and vegetables, along with vegetable seed production. The site also serves as a global centre of excellence for cucurbit research. The expansion includes new greenhouses and specialised plant growth environments, a plant pathology laboratory and more work space.
