US researchers aim nanoparticles at Asian psyllids
Researchers at the US University of Florida and other institutions have shown that the insecticide, imidacloprid, encapsulated in nanoparticles or "functional nano-dispensers" (FNDs), can be used to control Asian citrus psyllids (Diaphorina citri), which are vectors of citrus greening disease or Huanglongbing (Candidatus liberibacter asiaticus).
