FMC extends Capture use in Brazil

FMC has launched an extended use of its pyrethroid insecticide, Capture 400 (bifenthrin), on eucalyptus in Brazil. It is an emulsifiable concentrate formulation for the control of bronze bugs (Thaumastocoris peregrinus) and blue gum chalcids (Leptocybe invasa). This is the first product in Brazil for the control of bronze bugs. Capture can be applied in nurseries and in the field, provides sustained action preventing re-entry into the forest and allows flexibility in applications. Registrations allow aerial applications as the pests are difficult to identify. The insecticide already has approvals on several crops including cotton, sugar cane and maize.
