China OKs Wanlong Chemical's thiodiazole-copper
Chinese agrochemical company Zhejiang Wanlong Chemical (Wenzhou) has received Chinese registration for its thiodiazole-copper fungicide. Registrations have been given to the active ingredient and a 20% thiodiazole-copper soluble concentrate formulation, to be marketed as “Longkejun”. The fungicide is for use against: bacterial angular leaf spot ( Xanthomonas fragariae) on cucumbers; citrus canker (X anthomonas citri) and citrus scab fungus ( Elsinoe fawcettii) on oranges; and bacterial leaf streak (X anthomonas oryzae) on rice. Zhejiang Wanlong has applied for an extension of the registration to cover Fusarium wilt ( Fusarium oxysporum) on watermelons, soft rot ( Erwinia carotovora) on cabbages and wildfire disease ( Pseudomonas syringae) on tobacco.
