EU re-registration for eight ais

The European Commission has confirmed the re-registration of eight active ingredients: the herbicides, chlorsulfuron, dimethachlor, tri-allate and triflusulfuron; the insecticides, cyromazine, etofenprox and lufenuron; and the fungicide, penconazole. The ais, which were in the third round of the EU review of existing ais, were cleared by the EU regulatory committee earlier this year ( Agrow No 564, p 12). The re-registrations of five of the ais are subject to use restrictions, which will come into force next year. In addition, approvals of four of the ais are conditional on further data being submitted by December 31st 2011.
