Agricore accepts James Richardson International take-over bid:
The Canadian agrochemical distribution, seed and grain handling company, Agricore (Winnipeg, Manitoba), has accepted a take-over bid by the Canadian agribusiness firm, James Richardson International (JRI - Winnipeg, Manitoba). JRI's cash offer of Can$19.25 (US$17.10) per share matches the latest bid by Saskatchewan Wheat Pool (SWP). Agricore has rejected several take-over bids by SWP since last year's initial offer (Agrow No 508, 2). The transaction between JRI and Agricore is expected to be completed in June 2007. The combined operation will be known as Richardson Agricore.
