Dow debuts "third-generation" glyphosate:
Dow AgroSciences has received US approval for two "high-load" glyphosate herbicides based on a proprietary "third-generation" dimethylamine (DMA) salt. Durango DMA and Duramax both contain 5.4 lbs/gallon (630 g/litre) of glyphosate DMA. They are recommended for use at 12-48 oz/acre (0.8-3.3 kg/ha) on over 200 crops, including glyphosate-tolerant Roundup Ready lines. The DMA salt confers advantages for handling and tank mixing, Dow maintains.
