Further re-applications for EU ai approval
Companies have resubmitted applications for EU re-registration of four active ingredients. Syngenta has applied for the fungicide, cyproconazole, to Ireland as rapporteur member state, and also for the plant growth regulator, paclobutrazol, to the UK. BASF and Makhteshim-Agan Industries have applied for the fungicide, prochloraz, to Ireland. BASF has also applied to Ireland for the fungicide, fluquinconazole. All four ais were in the third round of the EU review of existing ais, where the original evaluations identified data gaps. The companies opted to temporarily withdraw the ais from the EU review until they had resubmitted the applications with additional data.
