Nuvilex to license oil-based nematicide
The US consumer products company, Nuvilex (Cherry Hill, New Jersey), is seeking to license out its essential oil-based nematicide, Oraphyte, for crop use. The company reports successful plot trials on turf over the past three years, with further studies under way on golf courses. The product has also been tested on high-value crops such as cantaloupes, cucumbers and tomatoes. “Our objective is to establish a long-term licensing agreement for the marketing and sale of Oraphyte, and with every favourable test result we receive, we move closer to making this goal a reality,” says Nuvilex chairman and CEO Martin Schmieg.
