EFSA invites feedback from applicants
The European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) is inviting applicants for EU approval of agrochemicals and genetically modified crops to submit comments on their satisfaction with registration procedures. It has created a questionnaire for applicants to give immediate feedback on the final scientific output dealing with their application and on the EFSA’s support services. The move is in response to applicants asking for better ways to give direct and immediate feedback. The aim is to monitor customer satisfaction and to improve the engagement of applicants in the scientific assessment process, the EFSA says. Its opinions on the risk assessments of active ingredients and GM products are considered by the European Commission when it drafts its decisions on approvals.
