Embrapa/Fundação Bahia launch GM cotton

The Brazilian agricultural corporation, the Embrapa, and R&D financial aid provider Fundação Bahia have launched three varieties of their co-developed genetically modified long-fibre cotton. The partners had developed what they rated as the first GM long-fibre cotton product to be developed in Brazil. The Monsanto insect-resistant and glyphosate herbicide-tolerant Bollgard II Roundup Ready Flex (MON15985XMON88913) technology varieties, BRS 430 B2RF, BRS 432 B2RF and BRS 433 FL B2RF, were launched last week in Bahia state.
