Caribbean countries to suspend restrictions on Brazilian meat by the end of May

By the end of May the Caribbean countries should suspend their ban on Brazilian meat, according to the International Agribusiness Affairs Secretary at the Ministry of Agriculture (MAPA), Odilson Ribeiro e Silva. He met representatives of the embassies of Jamaica, Haiti, Trinidad and Tobago, Guyana, Suriname and Barbados to report on the measures adopted by MAPA as a result of the trade restrictions imposed on the Brazilian product due to the Operation Weak Flesh police investigation.
