EPL Bio Analytical Services (EPL BAS) is an agriculture-focused analytical contract laboratory that operates in compliance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) standards. CEMAS is a GLP-compliant contract research organisation established in the UK in 1989 that specialises in providing regulatory data for plant protection products, biocides and industrial chemicals. Key services provided include multi-site residue studies, pesticide residue analysis, analytical method development, method validation, livestock feeding studies, agrochemical product and biocide analysis, 5-batch analysis and formulation support for a range of solid and liquid formulation types. Human risk assessment studies are also performed, including operator exposure, worker re-entry, bystander exposure, dislodgeable foliar residues and drift monitoring. 

Experience in agrochemical research in the company is extensive and includes soil dissipation and accumulation studies, analytical and environmental sciences, product chemistry, formulation work and soil characterisation. CEMAS also has significant experience in generating, submitting and defending regulatory dossiers as well as filling data gaps.

In addition, work is undertaken on carbon and nitrogen transformation, and plant studies including seedling emergence and vegetative vigour studies are performed along with bespoke projects.
